About CAJA
CAJA volunteers work with the courts to help stop child abuse and speak up for abused and neglected children. When you become a Court Appointed Juvenile Advocate you help our judges make decisions in the best interests of these endangered children.
You don’t have to be a professional to be a volunteer. We simply need people who want to help these kids. As a CAJA volunteer you get special training from our professionals to be an effective advocate. In addition, you get the solid support of our CAJA organization in helping save Marshall County’s children. Learn more about being a volunteer or how to donate. As a CAJA volunteer, you are an invaluable member of the justice system ensuring that kids live in a safe, loving environment. CAJA volunteers are appointed by a Judge to represent the best interests of abused and neglected children in court in Marshall County. They independently and comprehensively investigate the child’s circumstances; facilitate community services for the child and family; provide a written report to the court; and monitor the case to ensure compliance with the court orders.
